If you are installing this FAB Bearing (SILVER) Colorwheel + Housing, in place of your FDB Bearing (GOLD) Colorwheel you will need to REMOVE a jumper ("OPEN") on the DMD Board (Jumper CN810). This jumper is on the BACK SIDE of the DMD Board (usually covered by an aluminum panel--you do not need to take this panel off unless you have trouble accessing the jumper).

This BP96-00674A is the replacement color wheel for many HLP, HLR, SP, and PT DLP TV’s. HLP & HLR Series TVs are Samsung DLP's produced for the US marketplace. SP Series TVs are primarily for European marketplaces (and there may be some of these sets in Canada). PT series refers to AKAI DLP TV’s, which are also distributed in the US marketplace. THE AKAI TV’s utilize Samsung components but are re-badged as AKAI
This is a seven segment air bearing color wheel. It replaces your original ball bearing color wheel that is less reliable and nosier. Some of the latter model HLR TVs featured the air-bearing color wheel, however, if your TV currently has the ball bearing color wheel, you will have to remove a jumper when replacing the wheel.
