I found discount-merchant.com through a Google search. After a quick check with the BBB I placed an order for a TY-LA1001 replacement bulb for my TV. Discount-merchant.com came in cheaper than any other companies I found, even with it being shipped to Texas, but what impressed me the most was the quick turnaround. I was expecting at least a day of "processing" before it shipped. I placed the order at 3:54pm, and had the tracking number emailed to me at 5:15pm. The bulb arrived the next afternoon on time, and works perfectly. The only thing is that the instructions with the bulb did not state how to reset the lamp timer, however that information was easily found on the bulb's product page @ discount-merchant.com. Good job, and thanks for the quick turnaround!

Received my new lamp w/housing. Easy to install. Things went bad to worse from there. First the lamp light would not go out. After that I could not reset meter, ergo lamplight would not go out. You don't push vol. & Menu, you push vol. & 0 on the remote. After 4 days it stopped working, now after 5 days of trying to get it to work right, tadaa it is working now. I have no clue why. I even put the old lamp w/housing back in it and it worked perfectly. Then put in the new one and it is ""for now working"". Never asked me to reset meter or anything. Hope this does the trick. Otherwise RMA will be needed. I don't think it is my TV, I think it was either the operator or the housing is a tad bit short.

My parents bought a Panasonic model PT-52LCx66-K in october 2006 and the lamp is shot there were 2 weeks ago. Now, with the brand new genuine TY-LA1001 lamp, it works like new! Received it by Fedex in 2 days from San Diego (California) to l'Épiphanie (Canada). Would recommend it to anyone!
