Item was shipped and received quickly. It took less than five minutes to install the new bulb and reset my TV. After that it was like having a brand new TV!

The lamp is awesome....I did the overnight shipping and the lamp came a day late. Discount-Merchant did however credit me back some of the shipping charge without asking. Great product, great customer service, highly recommend.

Simple fix. |

Ordered on a Thursday. Arrived on Wednesday. Works like a charm. Though I did not receive a pre-paid return label for recycling the old lamp as a previous reviewer stated.

Clean bulb before replacing |

If you have a really dim picture, before you buy a new bulb, make sure to open it up and vacuum the dust out, and clean it out.
I've noticed dim picture for the past few months when watching some movies, especially dark scenes. This got me looking in to replacing the bulb today when I started reading online everyone saying dimming means the bulbs going out. Try cleaning the lens behind the screen and the bulb compartment both took me only 30 minutes.
1) vacuum behind the screen to remove dust, wipe the lens off with electronics dust cloth (mine came with my tv)
2) vaccum out all the vent areas behind the tv
3) remove bulb housing door, vacuum and wipe that out good. Pull the bulb and vacuum all the dust and wipe the bulb before putting back in.
4) put the cover back on, fired it up and see the diff.
Hopefully this can help someone else out before replacing. I'll be back to order one when it does go out.
