This is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Samsung BP96-01472A Lamp Enclosure Replacement for your Samsung DLP TV. It contains a Philips bulb inside.

The lamp code BP96-01472A lamp assembly for Samsung DLP TVs uses a small, elliptical Philips lamp. It is the standard lamp used in most Samsung DLP televisions. The lamps we carry are either 100/120W or 120/132W. What wattage lamp you need depends on the wattage of your ballast, but most Samsungs use either 120W or 132W ballast.

The enclosure is essentially how the lamp is mounted inside your TV set. It allows the consumer to easily swap out old lamps for new lamps by just unscrewing a few screws. This BP96-01472A housing is usually made out of very high quality, heat resistant plastic with glass fibers. These are generally reusable well past the life expectancy of your television set.

Problem	Possible Solution
Poor picture quality.	Try another channel. Adjust the antenna. Check all wire connections.
Poor sound quality.	Try another channel. Adjust the antenna. Make sure the MUTE button is off.
No picture or sound.	Try another channel. Press the SOURCE button. Make sure the TV is plugged in. Check the antenna connections.
No color, wrong colors or tints.	Make sure the program is broadcasted in color. Adjust the picture settings.
Picture rolls vertically.	Adjust the antenna. Check all wire connections. If you are using a VCR, check the tracking.
The TV operates erratically.	Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, then try operating it again.
Your remote control does not operate your TV.	Press the MODE button to put your remote control into TV mode. Make sure the remote has batteries.
The TV won�t switch on.	Make sure the wall outlet is working. Make sure the remote has batteries.

Lamp received in 2 days! Great service and price!. My original lamp lasted 2 1/2 years, and was still working. However, the picture had dimmed, and I had to run it at max brightness. With the new lamp, it was like brand new - had to resort to "Standard" video settings. Keeping the original for an emergency spare.

Great price, but took a week to get here with the EMS service. I've had the TV for 2 years and I'm on lamp #3. The original one popped in 4 months, Samsung replaced it and that one lasted about a year and a half. This new lamp is way better then the first two, I have to use the lowest brightness settings because it's way too bright.
