PLEASE NOTE:
It is possible for us to know the exactly type of lamp your TV originally shipped with. Your lamp is compatible with the following enclosures:
BP96-00224A (originally a Toshiba Lamp)
BP96-00224C (originally a Philips Lamp)
The BP96-00224J is Samsung's recommended part number for your TV...however, this does not solve the problem as the original Toshiba and original Philips lamps are fundamentally different!
1) You NEED to remove your lamp enclosure and find out exactly which one you have: The BP96-00224A or BP96-00224C. Remember this lamp code might be different than what is stated on the side of your TV. What we do know is that in both cases, your lamp shipped with a 100W ballast, so your TV should be compatible with the new Philips 120W lamp + Adapter kit. As this product SKU, we are selling you this new lamp, but we want to know your lamp code for reference.

More background information:The older generation TVs used what we call the "Big" Samsung Lamps while the newer generation TVs use the "Small" Samsung lamps. Instead of selling you the older generation lamp, we have created a patent pending lamp adapter...this adapter will enable older TVs to utilize the newer generation lamps and hence enjoy the reliability improvements of the redesigned lamps.
