Cheap and painless |

I must admit, I was a little skeptical about purchasing this lamp from discount merchant. I was worried that I would end up getting a generic bulb, nothing at all, or it would be a pain to replace. That being said....
This was a truly pleasant internet purchase. Everything was as it said, including the part shipping the same day. I paid for overnight service, since I was already saving so much on the lamp itself. Discount got it out as promised. Product recieved was Philips lamp, same as what was in my Samsung DLP. Installation was a BREEZE, and the fixyourdlp.com site was bang on in the how to.
I just installed this last night, so I cannot say how long it will last, but seeings how its the same part that I removed from my TV, then I am confident it will last just as long.
UPDATE: Its 02/03/2010 and the lamp I purchased is still going like a champ!!! About to order another one for back up as my TV is on a minimum of 8 hours a day and averages well over that I am sure.

DM are a Life Saver! |

Update #2:
I have ordered two additional lamps from DM for a total of four. The first replacement lamp that I originally ordered lasted a mere 1648 hours. I'm not sure if that's good since the original had lasted over 3500 hours. Replacement #2 lasted a paltry 1830 hours which died on last Friday night. Since it has been 7 months with this lamp the warranty is no longer applicable. I just ordered a third for future backup. As always, the shipping time to Canada has been quite good. This shipment of two lamps were ordered Friday and arrived Monday!
Despite questioning the longevity of these replacement lamps the price, service, and shipping from DM can't be beat!

Excellent Lamp! |

I found this website after noticing my Samsung HL-S4676S had logged 7040 hours on the original lamp and didn't want it to quit working in the middle of playoff season.
Got the lamp, found the step-by-step directions on the website and was finished in around 12 minutes.
I didn't realize how dim my image had become until I installed the new lamp. It made my TV look brand new.
I'll definitely be using discount-merchant for all my DLP lamp needs in the future.

Had my factory bulb go out at the height of bowl season, ordered Saturday afternoon, had my new one Monday morning. New OEM bulb works perfectly, instructions simple to follow. Many thanks for the fast processing/shipping!

I PURCHASED MY TV IN DEC OF 2006. MY BULB WENT OUT IN MAY OF 2008. I REPLACED IT WITH A BULB FROM HERE AND HERE IT IS, ALREADY JANUARY AND IT IS OUT AGAIN.
