I don't normally write reviews but this service and quality of product was worth a praise! I received the package next day with overnight delivery. They discounted my overnight shipping charges heavily to meet my budget. That and the lowest price on the net, plus execelent customer service by phone. I highly recommend their product and services!

my second lamp from these guys |

I don't typically write these sort of reviews unless I'm extremely happy with my experience.
My 61" blew it's lamp during Monday Night Football 10/07/06 and I was SO PISSED. All of sudden the screen flickered for a few seconds while the picture was dimmed, then i got a completely blank screen. the front LED light started blinking. I thought, "oh sh*t!" For one it was embarassing having a few friends around watching the game and the TV dies on us. TWO, I paid over $3,500 for this TV about 2 1/2 years ago, WTF?!? I knew the TV wasn't under warranty anymore.
Luckily I still have my reliable Sony 36" CRT so we brought that out and it wasn't a big deal.
Later on that night I checked through some forums online and everything pointed to a failed LAMP...with an unlikely chance that my engine went out. For those that don't know, the "engine" is pretty much all the guys in your DLP. If that fails, you're pretty much screwed! You're looking at $500 or more for that part...then labor!
I ran my a forums on ecoustic that had people talking about Discount-Merchant.com selling these lamps and a few people said they had good luck with them, easy install, blah blah blah...clicked on the link.
Got to DM Electronics, found my part, added to checkout, paid with my new Google Checkout account (if you don't have one yet, get one!) and we're were rolling. Lamp got to my house three days later from San Diego, California!! These guys didn't charge me extra for fast processing! Got the lamp, followed the instructions and VOILA! :) Needless to say, I was back in business!
Last week my step mom's Samsung went out! I don't know if these things are on a timer and they just all fail after a predetermined time or what?!!? She called Samsung and they referred her to a local Samsung Authorized Service Center. My step mom made an appointment with them which I quickly made her cancel! The service company wanted $99 for the service visit and they said depending on the problem it could be anywhere from $300-$700 for the repair!!
Hehe...I went over to my step mom's house, checked out her TV...blinking front LED lights (same as my TV) and I told her that I would take care of it for her. I called DM the same day and had them EXPRESS ship me a lamp. Next day I was back at her house and within 15 minutes I had completed the lamp swap. My step mom thought I was GOD!!! :) I didn't charge her anything because I know she's going to make it up to me with her dinners :)
Needless to say, I had two major issues and DM solved both of them with exception service. Speak with Ali (sp?) if you can, he is extremely knowledgeable about these TVs)!

did a phone order because I wasn't so sure this was legit. the operator was friendly and took my cc info over the phone. she had my invoice emailed to me while i was still chatting with her. top notch service. i got the lamp promptly and it was well packaged for an oem unit. thanks guys
