| This is a Original replacement lamp enclosure for your Samsung DLP TV, manufactured by Philips.
The Samsung BP96-00224E/F/G/H are identical enclosures. If you have one of these, this product SKU shoul dbe the original replacement part. Samsung has also referenced the BP96-00224J as the replacement part number. Since there is a slight wattage difference in the BP96-00224C, we do not recommend going with Samsung's generalized reference of the BP96-00224J as the universal BP96-00224x replacement. Simply stated, type in your original enclosure number in our search and you will get the recommended lamp all the time ;)
Your TV was originally fitted with a Philips 120W E23 1.0 UHP Lamp and a Philips 120W Driver/Ballast. The recommended replacement lamp enclosure features the new 132W Philips lamp & adapter kit. Your original Samsung Lamp is the E23 "Big" lamp. The older generation Samsung TVs used what we call the "Big" Samsung Lamps while the newer generation TVs use the "Small" Samsung lamps. Instead of selling you the older generation lamp, we have created a patent pending lamp adapter...this adapter will enable older TVs to utilize the newer generation lamps and hence enjoy the reliability improvements of the redesigned lamps.
**UHP Technology was invented by Philips in 1995. Your original lamp is based on one of the first generation designs while the current UHP lamps are smaller, more luminous, ventilated, and run cooler than the predecessors.
