| This is a Original Replacement Lamp for your Samsung DLP TV, manufactured by Philips.
Your original enclosure is fitted with a Philips 120W E23 1.0 UHP Lamp and a Philips 120W Driver/Ballast. The recommended replacement lamp is the new Philips lamp & adapter kit. Your original Samsung Lamp is the E23 "Big" lamp. The older generation Samsung TVs used what we call the "Big" Samsung Lamps while the newer generation TVs use the "Small" Samsung lamps. (For more information on this, click here) . Instead of selling you the older generation lamp, we have created a patent pending lamp adapter...this adapter will enable older TVs to utilize the newer generation lamps and hence enjoy the reliability improvements of the redesigned lamps.
**UHP Technology was invented by Philips in 1995. Your original lamp is based on one of the first generation designs while the current UHP lamps are smaller, more luminous, ventilated, and run cooler than the predecessors.
