Your original samsung lamp is a 100W/120W bulb made my Philips. The older generation TVs used what we call the "Big" Samsung Lamps while the newer generation TVs use the "Small" Samsung lamps. Instead of selling you the older generation lamp, we have created a patent pending lamp adapter...this adapter will enable older TVs to utilize the newer generation lamps and hence enjoy the reliability improvements of the redesigned lamps.
