OEM Lamp (non-retail) |

The lamp arrived today (3 days US mail), and found that it was a brand new shrink wrapped OEM bulk packaged (non-retail) lamp. I think I had read on other review sites that DiscountMerchant was shipping retail boxes (but the DiscountMerchant site does state that it's OEM bulk).
Only issues are that you must salvage the metal handle and 2 long screws from the original part you are replacing (which I am glad I hadn't thrown away yet).
The handle easily pulls off the original lamp (and easily attaches to the new part). The tricky part was removing the retaining clips from the lock-screws. After tinkering I realized that you just need to use pliers and pull the retaining clips straight up. Anyhow, got it installed, and now I can waste time in front of the TV again.
Install Time: 15 minutes
Thanks Discount-Merchant for an OEM part, quickly shipped, and $50 cheaper than anyone else.
