I ordered a new lamp - BP96-01472A(P132W) - on line for my projection DLP from Samsung with priority shipping. Total price was $190. Several days went by and I head nothing from Samsung so I called. Surprise...they were out of stock on the lamp and it would be about two weeks before they would get in a new shipment. Wonder when they were gonna get around to telling me! Anyway... a quick google brought me a list of other sites that sold the lamp and I looked at a few...including yours...but yours was the only one to offer step by step installation instructions AND a good price. I thought I would give you a try in order to reward the extra effort to make it easy to do the installation. Well...I ordered the bulb from you YESTERDAY at 2:50 PM east coast time... and here it is less than 24 hours from my call and I am enjoying my newly installed lamp after following your very clear directions. Oh yeah...I saved $30 bucks over the exact same lamp that Samsung couldn't deliver! Wow!...I am impressed with you folks and will be spreading the word. Please continue the great work and customer service. Companies like yours are rare these days and I think you very much for the great service.

I placed an order on Monday 3/17 @ 5:55 PM for two BP96-01073A DLP lamps for my Samsung TV. They were shipped out the same evening and I got the priority shipping free. I figured that I was going to have to wait until Saturday for delivery. The mailman knocked on my door at 12 noon today, Wednesday, 3/19 with my package. Less than 2 days from California to New Hampshire!!! Great!!! I installed the lamp and it works perfectly. I will be telling all of my friends about your company and the great service that I have received. Also, the tech was very helpful and the installation instructions that you provide on fixyourdlp.com made the replacement easy.

Just wanted to let you know about my experience with your company. I purchased a Samsung DLP, HLN467W almost four years ago from a online retailer in NJ. The TV has been terrific but the lamp recently went out. At the time I purchased the TV, the salesperson on the phone asked if I would like to purchase the extended warranty. He said my new TV has a bulb that would eventually need replacing at a cost of around $300. If I bought the warranty, it would cover the replacement of the new bulb which would be around the 4 year mark. Jump ahead to this past Friday and my TV goes black. So I go into my files and pull out my purchase receipt and extended warranty. I call the retailer to see what procedures I need to follow. Phone number is no longer in service, website no longer exists. The warranty is an outside company, so I call them. They tell me my warranty is valid but not for "consumables". If the lamp is the problem, that doesn't cover. Needless to say I was upset that I bought a warranty that I was duped into buying and frankly I was ready to chuck the whole TV into the dumpster.
I thought, if a new bulb was going to cost me $300 and a brand new 1080p lcd flat screen TV from Costco was on sale for $1000, I'm getting a new TV. Luckily for me it was too early to go to Costco @ 8:30am on Friday and I thought I might see how much a new bulb/lamp was going for these days. I stumbled across your website after "googling" the part number for my TV. I saw that a replacement bulb was only $120 on your website and I proceeded to read a testimonial from one of your past customers how he not only saved his own DLP TV but was his mother's hero for promptly saving her TV from the land fill. The testimonial went on to say how easy it was to do. I'm not a handy guy and this customer claimed he went from dead TV to "good as new" in under 15 minutes. I was skeptical about finding a $120 solution and if I was even skilled enough to pull off the 15 minute repair.
I figured that a $150 (tax and priority shipping included) attempt at saving my $2500 TV was worth giving a shot. I placed the order that morning. Less than an hour after placing the online order a rep called from your company to verify that I had chosen the correct bulb and to let me know that my order was out for shipping. On Saturday I took my kids out for a while (no reason to stay home if there's no working TV) and was surprised to see my Priority Mail package sitting on my front porch when I returned. Nervously I opened the box and proceeded to retrieve the installation instructions/photos I downloaded from your website. Got a phillips screwdriver and started the install. 14 1/2 minutes later, I was sliding the lamp housing back into the TV and plugging everything back in. I had no doubt in my head that I had screwed something up and pressing the power button was going to give me nothing but a black screen with no change. I got the remote and hit the power button. The TV came on like nothing ever happened. I felt so handy, I wanted to go out and buy a leather tool belt and start fixing everyone's TV. I called my brother with a DLP TV and told him if his TV ever goes out to call me and "I'll take care of it". My experience has been great, the part was in stock, service was unexpected, and delivery was faster than I could have imagined. For a fraction of the cost of replacing my TV, your company saved me from tossing out an otherwise perfectly good TV over a bulb.

Service from these guys were great. Stock was very hard to get. To get the best service, I suggesting calling these guys and ordering! I did that, and received really good service from them. The light bulb came a week after I ordered ( I live in Canada). Installation was pretty easy with the installation guide and video on FixYourDLP.com. I think i had Sony XL-2100U lamp swapped out within 15 minutes.

I'd never heard of any company sell JUST the lamp itself without the case but the installation looked easy and it $50-$100 cheaper. Ordered it on Wednesday, shipped on Wednesday, arrived here on Friday. Followed the online instructions on their partner site (FixYourDLP.com) and I was up and running in about TEN minutes! 5 stars for Discount-Merchant.com!

WOW, these guys know there stuff! I don't know why Samsung doesn't engineer something similar for their older TVs (maybe these guys beat them to it?). Anyway, I am extremely please with the lamp+adapter and commend the boys and girls at this organization...good job!

--> Terell - Samsung actually did make the move away from the older lamp and you can see that in their production runs of the BP96-00608A, BP96-00826A, BP96-00837A, etc. Terrell purchased the Samsung lamp + adapter for his HLM5065 Samsung TV
